The UpCounty Hub was developed during the pandemic to meet the needs of local families disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Currently, the Hub provides food and essentials to over 1,000 families every week living in the Upper Montgomery County Region. through safe home deliveries and community distributions. In addition to food the Hub also distributes essentials including COVID-19 Stay at Home Kits, Hygiene Kits, diapers, wipes, and formula. The Hub also organizes holiday meals and gifts, collaborates on immunization and vaccination clinics, and serves as a partner in programs to benefit the wellness of the community served.
Position Summary – The Receptionist is a part-time position that reports directly to the Business Manager. The Receptionist is responsible for answering Hub phone, taking messages, and updating weekly schedules for the administration staff for any related hub activity.
Essential Duties: Receptionists are required to:

Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office

Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls

Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)

Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
-
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries

Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock

Update calendars and schedule meetings
-
Keep updated records of office expenses and costs

Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

If families are not eligible for services from the Hub based on the zip code in which they live, refer them to an appropriate provider;

Respond as required to requests for service – make appropriate referrals if needed;

Refer families case manager for case management;

Schedule meetings with the Executive Director, board members, and other partners when needed;

Communicate with Executive Director to keep schedules updated

Prepare reports as requested.

Requirement:

Spanish speaking required

Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Must have strong interpersonal skills.
